Lauren started NATIVE AMERICAN CAREER CENTER in order to increase the cultural visibility of Native Americans as well as increase the visibility of Native Americans in a variety of career paths.
Lauren is a life-long entrepreneur; she started selling her beadwork as a teenager through custom-order binders circulated through office buildings. She later wrote résumés (resumes) for people at public libraries after advertising on the Internet in order to buy groceries and concert tickets. A self-professed 'wearer of many hats;' Lauren enjoys integrating the wide swath of her personal interests by helping many different people bring forward their best selves through her career products. Salespeople, IT professionals, recovery counselors, mortgage brokers, food servers, and biotechnicians are among the industry professionals whom Lauren has assisted.
Lauren makes this often difficult task appear simple by thoroughly interviewing her clients and determining what to include in their résumés and cover letters by utilizing her proprietary BEEHIVE writing method. Oozing with charisma and creativity, Lauren also provides support in navigating interviews and coaching her clients how to bring forward their best self. She is known to make up cheerleader-inspired chants on the spot during pep talks with her clients.
Lauren is a Native American woman who is Federally enrolled in the United States with the Eastern Shoshone Tribe of Wind River at Fort Washakie.
